Don’t let the size and weight fool you!! The Mountain Goat can eat as much as two yards of placer gravel and spit out as little as ten pounds of concentrates in only 8 hours. It is light enough (20 lbs.) to tote up a mountain by one person. It runs on 12-volt battery power and can be set up to re-circulate as little as 5 gallons of water. (750 G.P.H. pump is included)
Weighing less than 20 pounds, the goat can be carried up a mountain by one person. A 17-amp 12-volt battery will power the trommel and its pump for more than eight hours.
This close-up picture shows the reverse helix spirals built into the trommel barrel. As the barrel turns your concentrates are washed and pushed forward into the tray which hangs on the front of the machine beneath the hopper. Only the "heavies" end up in the tray. Because the spirals turn, the barrel is self-cleaning and there is no need to break down for cleanup like you do with a sluice box or high banker. This feature alone will double your production compared other types of machines..
You can operate the Mountain Goat in this carrying case, which also can be used as a water supply tank. The machine can operate in this case with as little as 5 gallons of water. By putting a stocking over the pump as a filter, you can use the same water to wash hundreds of pounds of material. This case is too large for us to ship, but you can purchase one at one of the following stores for less than $25: HOME DEPOT, LOWES OR K-MART.
